Award during the 2010 e-Technology Summit on February 25. ExploreWestHartford.com won in the category “Easiest website
to buy products & services from”. This award was the crowning touch on the West Hartford Chamber’s achievement
in developing a fully integrated e-commerce capability to service its members.
We selected The Computer Company as our technology partner in 2008 and, working together, we developed a site that
acts as the West Hartford Storefront. Members are able to renew membership online and are encouraged to upload events
to the calendar as well as participate in our Member-to-Member discount program – all with the click of the mouse.
Over 10,000 unique visitors browse the website each month looking for business listings and information about the
town. In addition to the Storefront features, our fully integrated back office systems offer total accuracy and improved
productivity, so we are able to provide “real-time” customer service to our members, which is important to client
retention and growth.
